The WHO-UNICEF-Lancet Commission report lays the foundations for a new global movement for child health and present high-level recommendations that position children at the center of the of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Commission brought together more than 40 top experts on child health and well-being to address new challenges to children, including climate change and exploitative commercial marketing.

Published in February 2020, the report concluded that transformational change is needed to ensure that children's health and well-being are protected, both now and in the future.

The response to the Commission's report demonstrated that many people want to join and support a movement for and with children - including, no doubt, many participants in the #LearningPlanet Festival! A new secretariat housed at UCL's Institute for Global Health will help spur this broader movement, following a unique model based on science, advocacy and coalition-building.
